The IAA Laurels for Team Achievement Award went to the Space Shuttle team. Among those honored was Prof. Aaron Cohen, who was in charge of orbiter development. After retiring from NASA, he joined the faculty of Texas A&M University, where he taught Mechanical Engineering, including the ever-popular Senior Design Seminar.

His objective is to determine what category a given signal fits in: language, music, or noise.
